What's Good for the Goose?

It's good to see Kerry finally responding full force to the Swift Boat Veterans for "Truth" ads. And his timing is impeccable, as the testimony of one of the leaders of the group, Larry Thurlow, is discredited by his own citation for the Bronze Star. Particularly rich in this article is this quote from Thurlow:

In a telephone interview Tuesday evening after he attended a Swift Boat Veterans strategy session in an Arlington hotel, Thurlow said he lost his Bronze Star citation more than 20 years ago. He said he was unwilling to authorize release of his military records because he feared attempts by the Kerry campaign to discredit him and other anti-Kerry veterans.

Have fun working your head around that hypocrisy. It's just fine to FABRICATE something to discredit Kerry (or pro-Kerry veterans) and accuse them of, um, uh, fabricating something. But it's not kosher at all to use a veteran's ACTUAL RECORD to discredit Thurlow, "and other anti-Kerry veterans". After all, they are the Swift Boat Veterans for "Truth". And don't you forget it.
